Dérive at Distractfold / Roca London Gallery, May 3rd 2013
Distractfold will present Dérive as part of an event at Roca London Gallery this Friday. The concert will be preceded by a panal discussion and entry is free (6.30 start).

Archipelago Music Festival, 22nd March, Geneva
Dérive, a new work commissioned by La Muse En Circuit, will receive its world premiere on 22nd March at the Archipelago festival in Geneva. More soon!
Carillon by Emily Howard: March 23rd, Manchester
Manchester Camerata will be premiering a new work by Emily Howard entitled Carillon on March 23rd. I provided both the recordings of the town hall bells featured in the work, and the tape (vinyl) part.

The Sun Warms The Memory was given The Audience Award (ex-aequo) in the XXXII Concours International de Musique Bruitiste, in Barcelona on the 19th of October.
Residency at TU Berlin, August 2012
I was fortunate enough to undertake a studio residency at the Technische Universität, Berlin in August 2012.
Edge Music London, 15th November
The Sun Warms the Memory was performed as part of the Distractfold Ensemble’s concert at Edge Music London last night.
Prize Phonologia 2012-2013
I have been selected to participate in the Prize Phonologia 2012-2013 at San Fedele Musica in Milan. The prize is intended to promote the creation of new musical works and is aimed and young composers of electronic music.

La Muse En Circuit have commissioned a number of new works based upon the theme of ‘Correspondances’, and I am fortunate enough to have been selected! A new work, entitled Dérive will be begun during a residency at the studios of La Muse En Circuit in December.

Residency at STEIM

Dead Poets / ICMC 2011, Huddersfield
Dead Poets will be performed as part of ICMC 2011 (July 31st – August 5th), which is due to commence at the University of Huddersfield later today. Dead Poets will be performed on Wednesday 3rd August, the full conference schedule is available here.
Residency at Musique et Recherches
Yesterday was the last day of my residency at Musique et Recherches in Ohain, Belgium, where I was fortunate enough to spend almost all of July creating a new work based upon the sounds of Brussels and Ohain, supported by the PRS for Music Foundation and Bliss Trust.
Joensuu Soundscape Composition Contest (Update)
Public Bodies was awarded 3rd Prize at the Joensuu Soundscape Composition Contest! The piece was played over a large speaker system in Joensuu city centre on 13th-14th July 2011.
Cities of Sound / FutureEverything
I’m delighted to announce that Pond Life is being exhibited as part of FutureEverything 2011. Cities of Sound is an exhibition curated by Chris Swithinbank of the Raise Your Voice Collective. The exhibition runs from 11th – 15th May at the Kraak Gallery in Manchester.
Espace du Son
I was fortunate enough to participate in Espace du Son towards the end of 2010, and it was a wonderful experience. I diffused Liaison Mecanique (Bernier), La Mer Bleue (Lotis), Labyrinth (Ratcliffe), Etude Pathetique (Schaeffer) and Forêt Profonde: Forêt furieuse by Francis Dhomont.
